WELLINGTON, July 15. The following ..Air Force casualties were announced to-day:—

Flight Lieutenant John David-Wil-liam Murray ; missing, and believed killed in operations. His mother is Mrs E. Murray, of Oamaru.

Pilot Officer Sydney Charles Ladyman, who previously was reported dangerously ill. from injuries .-received on active service, is now' removed from the dangerously ill list. Hjs father is Mr G. iF. Ladyman, of Palmerston North.

Flying Officer James Henry Leslie Allen, missing in operations. His uncle is Mr L. Holt, of Liverpool; England. CHRISTCHURCH. July 15.

Advice that . his son, Flying-Officer G. W. F. Carey, D.F.C., has been killed in action, was received to-day by his father, Mr W. R. Carey, general manager of the Kaiapoi Woollen Manufacturing Company, Ltd. Fly-. ing-Officer Carey was awarded the-' D/F.C. on January I‘2 for gallant conduct. He Commenced' training at Wigrarn two and a half years ago, and had been with the R.A.F. for eighteen months. Flying Officer Carey was educated at Christ’s College, which he left in 1934, after being prefect and rowing captain.

Advice, has been received that Acting Major ,G. B. Ward, of Lower Hutt, who was reported' missing after the 131.E.F. evacuation of Flanders, is nowin England. He has gained a commission with the Royal Army Service Corps.
