OBITUARY

(Many 'friends in this district. will hear with sorrow of the death at Christchurch yesterday of Mr Arthur Duneraft after a short illness. Deceased was formerly a resident ,of Hokitika for many years and was a well-known fonttball player for several seasons. Later he left for Christchurch where he has since resided. Deceased was 40 years of age, and leaves a widow (nee Mnv Nightingale), a mother. Mrs Duncraft. and sister. Mrs J. Breeze, of Tailored Street.

The death occurred on Saturday evening at Greymouth of Mr George Kendrick, a Well-known resident of Runanga, after an illness of three weeks. A native of Moftgli, North Wales, he was 49 years of age, and had been for 26 years a resident of Runanga, having been employed as a miner at the Janies State Ctolliery. He leaves a widow, two sons, one daughter, mother, two brothers and four sisters.

Mrs Mary O’Regan, wife of Mr John O’Regan of Cronadun, died at the lnangaliua Hospital, Reefton, on Saturday morning, alter being in illhealth for the prist three months. The late Mrs O’Regan, who was a member of the well-known Barry family, was horn 60 years ago at Stafford, of which town the parents were pioneer resi dents. She had spent the whole of her life on the West Coast and was greatly esteemed in the district for the many kind acts to the sick and distressed. She is survived by her husmand, two sens, (John of Wellington and Patrick of Cronadun), and two daughters (Mary and Pauline O’Regan of Cronadun); also two sisters (Miss Barry and Mrs Aldred Greymouth), and two brothers (Messrs Thomas Barry, Greymouth and Patrick Barry, Auckland).
