Consequent upon tlie, .discontinuance of construction on tlie new' hangar and club rooms iit was resolved to dispose of the material already purchased ancl now.on the aerodrome. This material comprised a darge quantity ol steel and it was tlie unanimous opinion of members that the war'eifqrtjwpuld oe best served bv releasing the steel already purchased by the Club lor the construction of the building.

The question of aerodrome control .which had formed the basis of a conference between the interested parties was also further discussed and it was decided 'that "the Government be requested to assume control ol the aerodnome during the period of the war and for the matter to be further investigated at the conclusion of hostilities.

Reviewing the year’s operations, tlie President (Mr H. T. Lawn) stated that it had been quite a successful one for the Club, but membership was on tlie decline. A fresh drive for membership was contemplated and on the outline of the proposed activities lor the ensuing year, it was lelt that- the Aero Club meetings would be something worth looking forward to. Despite the war, .membership would increase and no .effort would be spared to make, tlie membership attractive. r Mi' Lawn' outlined the formation of the Aero Kindergarten which was a subsidiary of the Club and a report from the Hoard of Governors, disclosed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The project was definitely popular with parents and already,, enrolments had been received from parents, to take effect from as late as November. Tins indicated how anxious parents were to avail themselves of the facilities immediately their children became of eligible

age. The election of officers resulted in tlie President, Mr H. T. Lawn, and the Club secretary being re-elected unopposed.
