It is officially stated tnat British planes yesterday again raided oil depots .it Hamburg and' Bremen and also scored direct hits on oiltanks ; ‘t Hanover. Fighters shot down at least twenty planes. Bombers extensively operated in Belgium and France, harassing German lines of communication and relieved the pressure against the Allied armies. They hit bridges in southern Belgium, broke up troop concentrations, and blocked roads. The R.A.F. patrolled western Germany throughout the night, taking action against military traffic. Two Blenheims patrolling the Dutch coast attacked three Heinkols 101 and three Mosserschmitts 110 and shot down two of the last-named.
