AS A DEMOCRACY. RUG Hi, March 18. China is fighting tor the same ideals of political liberty as inspired Britain to take up arms in the European conflict, said the Chinese Ambassador in a speech in London. I't therefore is of supreme importance to Britain not to lose sight of the bearing ol China’s struggle in the present attempt on tlie part ol democracies to re-establish law and order. He asked ii anything could he of greater promise to Britain and world welfare than a strong Chinese democracy.
