APPEAL BY CHINESE. ESCAPED FROM; GESTAPO. LONDON,. March 14. In the dock at Basingstroke Police Court -stood Tso Chou . Chinese student of engineering. He has a German .wife, Magdalena, and when arrested on a charge of aiding her to enter, the couptry with a.' false passport he said: “My sole reason for bringing; my wife here with a false passport is because I love her, and I wanted at any cost to get her away from the Gestapo,.and then got my wife away from the Danish'police. My wife is in a bad state of/ health.Please,” he pleaded, shoot me or do any thing you like with men but let my-, wife g0...’,’ Wang said he worked in Germany for, nine years. The "Nazis would not grant her a passport, although she had become Chinese. They did not .want to break Nazi laws, Mrs Wang went to Denmark last Whitsun on a week-end trip, and stayed there,. ; .To avoid arrest of Mrs, Wang, Mr Wang was allowed to use af passport belonging to Mrs Dsou, German wife of a Chinese'merchant‘iiP Copenhagen;- j 0 D| The Wahgs ' jweut. Sweden 1 , tlidn' came to Basitiugstroke, yvliere. they have been living since. June last. Both were remanded on £2O bail,
