The Westport Jockey Club’s meeting concluded to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. The totalisator handled as against £4999 on the second day last year, and ,for the meeting £12,210', as against £99694 the previous year, representing an increese of £21311. A.J.C. PROSPECTS. (Australian; Press Association). SYDNEY, March 18. This year’s Doncaster Handicap end Sydney Cup contain more high class candidates than usual. For the Doncaster, likely acceptors include Mildura Geeburg (who will dominate the betting market), Beaulivre, Gold Salute, Denis, , ; Bonny Loch and |The Albatross. The only doubtful starter is High Caste (9.0) who is being asked to carry eight pounds over weight for age, and would also meet MTdura, the Newmarket handicap winner,- bn 14lb. worse terms than weight

The New Zealander, Yours Truly, literally galloped his way into favouritism for the Sydney Cup last Saturday, but Mosaic has also attracted a good following, by reason of his second to Reading, Reading'has been withdrawn from the Sydney Cup. Gold Spark, Maikai, and Dashing Cavalier, are expected to give Yours Truly a hard face. Royal Chief is'not exciting much interest, owing to his recent indifferent showing.
