ARRIVES FROM LONDON.

WELLINGTON, March 19

“Is it hot true to suggest 'that the war aims of Britain arid France are imperialistic.' The war( in reality, is a battle of liberation and justice for peoples whose liberties have been destroyed, and also an effort by the Allies to secure conditions upon which a just peace could be established in Europe and the. world,” declared Mr D, R. Grenfell C.8.E., British Labour M.P., on arrival at. Wellington.to-day.

Mr Grenfell is a member of the Parliamentary Executive of the British Labour Party, and is here to represent the United Kingdom Branch of tho Empire Parliamentary Association at the centennial celebrations.

“In Britain”, he said, “people are facing all their discomforts with fortitude and patience. They are united in their determination' that Hitler is not to dominate Europe, and realise fully what is -at stake for the nations of Europe arid for individual citizens. “In Britain the war is regarded as art effort to prevent the further degradation of political conditions, and the removal of the menace of dictatorship, which the Germans would establish if they gained military ascendancy.”
