DISCUSSIONS CONCLUDED. (Per Press Association. —Copyright). WELLINGTON, April 27. Alter discussing defence and related matters since April 14 ( the Pacific Defence Conference has concluded. The official report was'formally presented to' the Prime Minister this afternoon. The delegates were entertained at afternoon tea. • “The conference has been a highly successful one,” said Mr Savage later, in an interview. “It has given us a line for action that we could hav© got in no other way.” ;i Mr Savage announced that arrangements'have been made for MajorGeneral Mackesy, one of the British delegates at the Defence Conference, to remain in New Zealand for a few wee 7& and to report upon the land defence forces of the Dominion.
