One man was killed and two others seriously injured, when a tourer motor car in which they were travelling from Wairanga to Te Kaumhata early this morning, skidded on the road, turned three or four somersaults, and came to rest upside down. The victims were— Killed.—Lloyd Berrick, of Wairanga. Injured—Tony Alexander (18), farmhand, of Wairanga, condition serious, and Ernest George, of .Wairanga, head injuries, condition serious. ' accident occurred about a mile •and a half up Wairanga Road. There was a large pool of water on the surface and it appeared that the driver of the vehicle was dazzled when ttye lights of the car shone oh tHe p001...He attempted*to swing the car over, but turned too far and it got out of control, finally turning over and coming to rest on the hood. -3 Berrick was killed outright. At about 2.30 a.m., St. John Ambulance at Hamilton received a call from a doctor at Ngaruawahia, who attended the injured, and they were taken to the Wai--1 kato hospital. This morning George regained consciousness, but Alexander is still dangerously ill.
