CRASH INTO CREEK ONE PERSON KILLED. (Per Press' Association—Copyright) NEW PLYMOUTH, Feb. 26. Injuries that resulted in liis death in rue New Plymouth Hospital Uuo evening, were received by a passenger in a car which left the New PlymouthWellington main road near Inglewood last night, and crashed into a creek. CAR HITS POLE.

TWO MEN FATALLY INJURED

PALMERSTON N., Feb. 26

When a motor-truck struck a power pole at Palmerston North late on Saturday night.,two middle-aged men suffered severe injuries, of which they died. They were: Arthur Taylor and Garnett Herbert William Over. The driver of the truck, Laurence de Vantier, and tyyo others who were ip the cab were uninjured, but the two victims, who were riding on the tray of the lorry, suffered the full force of the impact, which was very severe. The tray was torn from the chassis and thrown across the street. The driver was later arrested.

TRUCK DRIVER KILLED.

AUCKLAND, February 27

From injuries caused when-' a motorcar crashed into the rear of a stationary truck opposite Drury school last evening, Errol Cox, married, 31, resident of Haiiiilton," truck driver, -died in the- hospital to-day. Six other persons, including two women and a baby, were injured. The truck had been halted by the highways inspector for weighing of the inspector and Cox were talking at the rear of the truck, a car crashed into the rear. The projecting jron pipes -pierqed the windscreen and the passengers were cut by Hying glass. Cox was hurled on to the ends of the projecting pipes and extricated with difficulty.
