OBITUARY
MRS E. HAHN. A pioneer resident of New Zealand passed aivay at Greymouth yesterday, in the person of Mrs Emilie Hahn, a native of Lunow, Bradenburg, Germany, aged 82 years. • Deceased left Germany at the age of 16 years, for London, where she joined the sailing ship “Simetap,” in 1871, arriving at Lyttelton some six months later. She Avas married at the age of 19 years, and resided at East Oxford for 18 years. She then came with her husband to the West Coast, travelling in an old horse Avagon, the journey taking three Aveeks, and she settled at Kokin-. In 1917 she came to Greymouth, and had since resided in Jfrblfe ,-StreqtHqr-. husband predeceased her 19 years ago. She is survived by four - (Moana), William (Ikamatua), Harry, (Christchurch), and Otto (Hokitika), #nd six daughters, Mesdames. W. Dud-,, ley, H. Wilson, R. Newman' and C. Corbin (Grey district), S. Wilson and W. Hardie (Christchurch). There are also 43 grandchildren and 34' greatgrandchildren.
