DANCER FELL
120 FEET TO DEATH.
SYDNEY, September 13. A guest at a dance at the Empress Ballrooms, Mark Foy’s, fell 120 ft. down the stairway to his death on Saturday night. He was John Fitzpatrick, 24, of Beaumont Street, Campsie. He was attending the Canterbury-Bankstown Rugby League dance. He attempted to slide down a bannister from the fifth floor to the .fourth. The commissionaire, Sydney Kinghorn, made a futile dash to stop him. - Fitzpatrick, reached the turn in the .bannister, overbalanced and fell to tfie Llsement. News of the tragedy was kept from the other dancers.
