UNEMPLOYMENT. (Per Press Association —Copyright?, CHRISTCHURCH, August 9. . Details of the unemployment position were .announced torday by Hon. H. T. Armstrong. On July 2, there were 8000 men on sustenance, but totally unfit for employment,; 1551 were registered, but not on relief, 4240 on sustenance awaiting placement, and 2032 on Scheme 5 relief. There were 35,796 men in full-time, and on July 2 there, were 2306 fit men available for 1 employment, and 2195 vacancies. WOUNDED ;RY BULLET.
