t . A LIGHTNING BOLT. ■ " , NEW YORK;. August 7. • | A. lightning bolt struck the heart; of Rjis Park Beach, where eighty thousand people were bathing. Three people were killed while there are fourteen suffering from shock. Three people were killed similarly at tlie same spot on August 7, 1937. The bolt struck ope man 'through .the, head, killing him. From him the bolt leapt into his. wife’s body, causing her a fatal shock. The holt also struck down a. young couple. It also lurched, into a family of five, knocking them all unconscious. It knocked two life guards from their chairs. There was a blue flame, which played along the . beach, flattening all within two hundred feet of the flame.
