A meeting ot about fifty racing owners and trainers, held at Riccarton last night, dismissed the demands made for an awaial In the Stable Hands Union. Hon. G. R. Hunter ' presided, and Mr H. R. The demands of the union were gone into in detail and in a discussion, the point was stressed that conditions of work differed substantially in racing and irotting stables.
