WELLINGTON June 17. General situation: Pressure is relatively high over the North Island bet is falling in the south under the influence of a shallow but deepening which is advancing across the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for light to moderate northeasterly to northerly winds predominating and later freshening. Weather fair at first but later clouding over and scattered rain developing, more especially in southern areas. Seas slight to moderate.
