Three hundred 1 attended the first annual Anzac Day banquet of the Australia and New Zealand Association. The gue.sts included; a Supreme Court Judge; the Hon. Mr Justice MansOn, Bishop Sexton, formerly of Australia, who, in proposing the toast of "the Empire, said: ' “If the Empire, goes west-, it will not be the fault ; of the Mackenzie King Government, but of the mass of the. people.”
Mr Reece Hague, the president, declared that the Australian and New Zealanfl defences were ap example to Canada-. '
