(Our Own Correspondent). The following municipal nominations have been received:— For Mayoralty—Kenneth 0. May, John Murdoch. For Council (6)—W. J. Blacklow, John Cumming. Patrick Alinehan i R. J. Scott, Charles Upjohn, Sydney Upjohn, John Woolhouso (7). For Hokitika Harbour Board—W, E. Richards (elected).
School Committee. There was a small attendance of householders and the old committee were re-elected as follows:—H. Osmers (chairman), A. Thompson, K. 0. May, J. Holmes ) A. W. Peebles (secretary and treasurer).
Swimming Club Ball, A reminder is given of the Ross Swimming Club’s ball in the Tolara Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening. Representatives of clubs at Greymouth, and Hokitika have notified they are attending and a very successful gathering is promised. Complete arrangements are being made for the enjoyment of patrons.
