Urgency was granted, on the Prime Minister’s motion for the passing of the Iron and Steel Industry Bill.' The debate on the .second reading was continued by Hon. J. G. Armstrong), said ; .tha,% since."'-1014'we had been waiting for private enterI prise to develop the; iron and steel indpstry, but all that had been : done was to raise'a few'thousand pounds and erect a ‘‘tin pot" shed-at Onekaka, that-could hot-possibly, be successful.
