MINISTER’S VISIT
SOUTH WESTLAND TOUR. t The Hon. Robert Semple, Minister of Public Works, acknowledging a telegram of welcome on his projected visit from the County Chairman, Mr W. A. Jhmieson, wired:— “Many thanks for telegram. Wish to advise I arrive Hokitika by ’plane or Tuesday mornine. 22nd inst. Will spend that day and Wednesday inspecting public Works in Westland, returning to Hokitika o n Wednesday night, staying at Hotel Westland, leaving Thursday for Greymouth and Westport.” Jt is understood Mr Semple will be at Welieka. on the night of the 22nd. There is a suggestion he open the Ivanieri bridge officially on Thursday forenoon before departing for the north. The Kanieri district people are co-op-erating in the matter.
