FURTHER JAP. PEARLER ARRESTED (Australian Press Association). DARWIN, September 20. Another Japanese pearling lugger was arrested to-day for, allegedly, operating within the territorial waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria. FALL IN WOOL PRICES SYDNEY, September 20. At to-day’s wool sales, 8,414 bales were offered and 5.580 were sold at auction, also 955 bales privately. The market, compared to last Svdney series, was from par to five per cent, lower, chiefly on the best descriptions. An irregularity of faulty and inferior wools was still in evidence. Competition was mainly irom Yorkshire and the Continent. There was no .Japanese bidding. Top price was 22d.
