STATEMENT FOR AUGUST, 1937. Estates of a value of £IBB,GOO were repoited and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of August, 1937, compared with £173,008 for August, 1930. The total value of the estates under administration by the Public Trustee < n March 31, 1937, was £00.770,814, and the new business for the five months ended August 31, 1937, was £2.603,174 compared with £2,4 18,082 lor the corresponding period last year. Grants ot administration nad • by the Court in tavour of the Public* Trustee numbered 187 for the month.
During the month 373 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were prepared on behalf of- testators and lodged for safe custody, and 377 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now held in the Public Trust Office on behalf of firing persons is 89,293.
