BOXING
IT.S.A. CARNIVAL (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright). NEW YORK, September 17. The Boxing Championship Carnival on October 9, is arousing only moderate interest. The newspapers are carrving no more than desultory accounts from the nearby training camps. The biggest problem facing the fighters is that of weight-making. All, with the exception of Ross and ’Garcia, a*c still over-weight. Thil and Montanez are each four pounds ever. A sugestion that if the fights are postponed, far any 'reason, the contenders should weigh in again, has caused a sharp controversy, but the Commission may adopt the suggestion. The Boxing Commission’s physician, who has periodically examined the contenders, declares that they are in excellent condition.
