Appointments confirmed included: Ivokatahi, Miss E. J. Mi-liner, head teacher (October 1); Rotomanu, Mss R,. E. Jones, sole teacher (October 1) , and Taylorville, Mr A. E. Mahon, head teacher (October 1). Leave of absence was granted Mis:; J. L. Archer and Mrs A. Wise (Grey mouth). A letter was received from t 1 e Pul.l: Works Department thanking the Board j for its formal consent to the proposa I to run transmission lines along the | rear of the Ivaihinu School grounds. Owing to lack of funds, it was deck! ed that consideration of the Commit tee’s request for the completion of pic ket fencing across the" front boundary of the school gi omuls must be deferred for the time being. It was resolved to defer considcra timi of the question of fitting a new lock and effecting minor repairs to th Stillwater wood-shod.
