MEDICAL TESTS
FOR TAXI Dim'HRS PARIS, August 17. Regular medical examination of all drivers of taxis and motor trucks will in future be insisted upon in France. The examination’ will have to be undergone at stated intervals. French doctors are asking that the principle be extended to include all drivers of motor vehicles, and that the period between examinations, vary with the ago of the driver. The periods recommended are:—Between the ayes ol 20 and 35. every five years; between 35 and 50. every three years; between 50 and 60. every two- years; 60 and over, every year. The Journal of flit l American Medical Association, which gives this information in ils latest issue, states that intoxication is st-'ll i.he chief cause of road accidents in Paris.
