.vu ARAHURA SALE. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co., report on Arahurg fat stock sale held on September 13. The total yarding comprised 97 head and was of exceptional quality. A full range, of buyers was in attendance and the sale throughout was keen, prices being on a par to a slight, rise compared with the sale,a fortnight ago. We quote an average price for prime quality heifers and bullocks at £2 per 100. Our entry- of 65 head ,was sold as Follows:—For E. A. and F. \V. ’Gibb, 1 bullocks at £l4/17/6, 4 at £l4 <l2/6, sat £l4/7/6,..7 at £l4/2/6, 4. at £l3/12/6, 2 at £l3/7/6, 2 at £l2/7/6 (average £l4/2/3); 2 heifers at £l2 17/6, 2 at £l2/12/6, 4 at £l2/7/6, U at £l2/2/6, 6 at £ll/12/6, 4 at £GI 2'6 (average £12); 1 cow at £l3/7/6»- 2 at £lO/17/6, 1 at £lO/12/6, 2 at £lO 2/6, 2 at£9/12/6, 2 at £B/2/6, 1 runnier £9/2/0. For C. H. and L. It. Gibb, <1 bullock at £9.17/6. For O. McGuigan, 2 heifers at £6/2/6, 2 cows at £-5/7/6.
Messrs M. Houston and Co., report;:_Our entry at yesterday’s said, consisted of 37 fat cattle which weresubmitted to a large attendance oil buyers. Competition was excellent/ throughout the, sale, which was a ver\ ■ satisfactory one to vendors. Good ox beef sold on an average of 38/ to 4(4per hundred and light heifer beef was slightly dearer, realizing up to 42/per hundred ; good cow beef made from. 30/- to 32 6.
