Her Excellency Viscountess Galway returned to Wellington by the Awatea yesterday, Lady Galway has been home on a health recruiting trip and also to attend the Coronation, and has been away to New Zealand for five and a half months. On the return ' trip she left London on August 28, and travelled by air to Sydney, connecting with the Awatea. Her trip from England to New Zealand took 16 days.
Mr P. D. O’Connell, Supervisor of the Postal branch, Hokitika, has received notice of transfer to Darfield as. Postmaster and will be succeeded by Mr W. J. Alillncr, of the Hokitika staff.
Constable R. B. Wooding, of Wellington, lias been appointed to Greymouth, to replace. Constable M. P. Quirke who leaves on transfer to Dunedin.
