Every now and again we read in the papery that “one more unfortunate” has paid the penalty for smoking in bed. How many have lost their lives in that way, who can say ? Smokers are often stupidly careless. Smoking in bed is certainly a dangerous habit, but because spme,,smokers persist in running foolish rises'-Ms that any reason why all smoking should be tabco? As reasonable would jit be to prohibit all sport because some sportsmen art fool-hardy. But smoking in bed is not tho only dangerous habit practiced by smokers. What about the habitual use of tobacco well-known to be full of nicotine? And there are lots of b.and s like that, which may affect heart, throat, or nerves.
