OBITUARY

It is with regret that we record the death of Mr Hillas Kim Williapis, of ~ Greymouth which took place last, evening. Deceased was a native of Paroa, and GO years of age. He joined the staff of Hallenstein Bros., Ltd., being employed for a number of years at Hokitika, and subsequently at the Greymouth branch. In partnership with Mr Thomas Fogarty, he commenced 35 years ago, the mercery and clothing business cf Fogarty and Williams at Greymouth, and carried 'on till ill health caused his-retire-, ment. A happy release from a long illness, the passing of Kim Williams will yet be sad news fopyhosts of friends far and wide, who knew him ««* one of nature’s gentlemen. He leaves a widow, three sons, John (Greymouth), Robert (Petone) < and Kim, junr., a pupil of the Marist Brothers’ School, and one daughter, Joan. The death occurred yesterday at the Buller Hospital,- of George Vincent Fisher. Deceased, who was an engine driver on the Te Kuha railway line, was Go years of age, and had not resided in the Buller district for a long period. He is survived by his wife.
