FAREWELLED BY GOVERNMENT. (Per Press Association —Copyright). WELLINGTON, July 8. Members of the New Zealand hockey team for Australia were farewelled by the Government this morning. The Acting-Prime Minister, Hon. P. Eraser, said the team woidd be doing service to the game in New Zealand if it, upheld the reputation won by former teams. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Hon. W. E. Parry } said sport was growing in importance as increased leisure called for increased recreation. The team sails by the Wanganclla to-day.
