HOMER TUNNEL
CESSATION OP WORK FOR WINTER (Per Press Association—Copyright). INVERCARGILL. May 18. Work at the Homer Tunnel has been suspended for the winter. A eo»i»mer■able number of men has already been withdrawn from the Homer Camp, and it is expected that the remninoer v/ili be transferred to other work within two or three week's. The authorities are not at present in a position to state when the work will he resumed, but it is certain that the construction of the tunnel will not bo proceeded, with again until all danger of avalanches at tliQ month of the tun. nel has passed.
