N.Z. ON TOUR MATCH y. GLAMORGAN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). CARDIFF, May 15. The New Zealand cricketers to-day began a third match on their tour against Glamorgan at Cardiff. Encountering steady bowling supported by keen fielding, the tourists batted with sedate deliberation, all of them giving the impression that they were desirous of playing themselves into form, in view of their lack of practice due to the wet week in London. Nevertheless, credit is due to the county bowlers for keeping the scoring rate of the New Zealanders down to 230 runs in five hours. This was mainly due to the accuracy of the mediumpaced swing bowling of the forty-two-year-old Mercer, and the bothersome off-spinners of a new bowling star, Jones, whose record this season includes eight for eighty against Kent, five for sixty against Lancashire, and seven for seventy-nine against Sussex. Except for Wallace and Roberts, who both fell to smart tlirows-in and Lamasou who was an early victim to the new ball, all the batsmen had aleiigtliy, of a quiet innings. Kerr and Vivian were the brightest of the batsmen, tfi,e former batting for half an hour for 20 runs and hitting four fours The latter batted half an hour, scoring 37, including three fours.

Hadlee was in over an hour for 21. Moloney batted for two hours and scored forty runs, while Page, who made 41, and Tindill, who scored 30, batted for an hour and a half-each. Moloney and Vivian added fifty-six runs for the third wicket. Page and Tindill scored seventy-nine runs for the sixth wicket. All of the innings were chanceless until the dismissals. ■ Glamorgan batted for half an hour to the bowling of 1 Roberts, Donning, and Vivian, scoring 25 without loss.
