MOLLISON’S PLAN
LONPON-CAPE IN TWO STOPS
LONDON, November 10. “Within a day or two, just alter dark,” James Mollison will take oil Iron/Croydon in an attempt to smash two aerial records-C. W. A. Scott’s 51 hours 6 minutes to Johannesburg, «nJ Mrs Mollison’s 78 hours. 25 minutes to Capetown. Jn his new American Ballanca monoplane, he hopes to reach Cairo before dawn, and wm 'make only two stops, there and at Kisuinu (Kenya). At “Joburg” he will merely circle the town, and then speed on to tlm Cape, hoping to complete the 8000 miles in under 40 hours.
Mollison has been unable to persuade Captain Bebb to accompany him. “If I cannot get a pilot with the r.ght mentality and skill. 1 will go alone an 1 snatch a little sleep on the way,” he said.
