ARMISTICE DAY
OBSERVANCE IN AUCKLAND
Per Press Association Copyright. AUCKLAND, November 11
Not in recent years has there been a more reverent Armistice Day observance than to-day. The firing of a gun in Albert Park and the sounding of the “Last Host” at six intersections of city streets hushed the pity immediately. Groups of people, anticipating the event, stood at the intersections where the biirglers were stationed. There was not a movement until a gun signalled the end of the two' minutes.
