MR. MacDONALD
SUFFERS NERVOUS BREAKDOWN

LONDON,'November &• Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, ‘ who has not been in good health since lie suffered a nervous breakdown last year, collapsed during the Lord Mayor’s banquet at' the Guildhall, and was assisted from the hall.
Mr MacDonald’s daughter, Miss Ishbel MacDonald’/ who was sitting next to him, helped her father from the hall: to an alcove, where Mr . MacDonald rested for 10 minutes, after which he went home by car, looking pale, but smiling. On his arrival at his home at Hampstead, Mr MacDonald retired to bed. Members of liis family stated that he was overcome by the heat at the Guildhall, ' which was more • crowded than usual.
He is being attended by Lord Dawson of Penh.
