MEETING IN WELLINGTON

WELLINGTON, November 9. Even though Parliament is in recess, members of 1 the Party are to b e given the opportunity of playing their part in the general work of the Government to this end. All members of the Labour Party in Parliament. have been summoned to attend a meeting in Wellington about November 25. ,

this mfeting they will be made acquainted with- the' administrative steps takensby Cabinet since* the close of the session, and will be invited to co-operate . with Ministers]; dealing with problems arising from time to time.

The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hop:: M. J. Savage) stated to-day that'it was his desire’ and that of the Government that ©Very' available man should be given the opportunity of sharing in the general work of administration. The unemployment problem will be among the subjects to be considered. ' •’ "

Mr Savage intends; in-the near future, to visit the main centres of the Dominion, but so far no itinerary has been mapped out. ; . •
