It is suggested that townspeople who may be out on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, night, might leave their contributions with those at home, in order to facilitate the work of the town canvassers who will be collecting between 6.30 and 9.30 p.m. | Progress reports of the amounts col'lected will be published by the “Guardian” which has also consented to open a subscription list for the benefit ot ■ those who may not be approached, i A collection will also be taken up in the environs of Hokitika and the outlying districts at some convenient date in the near future by: Messrs F.
