’ Detectives waging a campaign to break the drug traffic to France j will search the liner Chenoceaux when she arrives in Marseilles to-morrow from the Far East.
A member of the ship’s crew, who was arrested at Port Said, is alleged to have had six pounds of heroin 4 worth £7OO, in his locker. ''it is believed that there lire other drugs aboard. Shanghai is thought to be tne centre of the traffic, which has been going on for some time. All ships reaching Egypt from the Far East will be searched.
