Sybil Phillips, of Auckland, who won soprano championships at the recent eisteddfod, is playing the part of the heroine, Murenka, in the Conservatoriums production, “The Bartered Bride,’ directed Ey RoJland Foster, who recently visited New Zealand. The “Daily Telegraph” says Miss Phillips sang with a fresh young voice that was at all times, pleasing. She has a fluent style and good enunciation
