TO MR JAMES O’BRIEN At a public meeting held in the Town Hall on Thursday,'November 5,/it was decided to undertake a campaign, for . the collection of a presentation fund for the member for .Westland, Mr James O’Brien. - : y ' “ It is recognised among people of-all. shades of opinion that :> Mr-O’Brien, has been an indefatigible workei; Tor ‘the district, not only, in times of flood, damage but at all times-when an opportunity has occurred in the House for further- 1 ing the welfare of : . Arrangements are wpll in hand. Thecollection will begin definitely next Wednesday, and will 'take the form of a house to house canvass. Tn for the benefit of those, who will have no opportunity of contributing to the canvassers, or who prgfer to contribute directly, a subscription list has been left at the f “Guardian”.
