After a- postponement from yester-, day Owing to heavy rain, the Whangaroi Jockey Club opened its spring meeting in glorious weather to-day. There was a large attendance.' The totalisator handled £54883 as against £6542 «n the first day last year, an increase of £3430*. Results :
