The Associated Press is informed that the result of the American election has somewhat enhanced the prospects 'of the sugar conference, me United States previously agreed to attend, but withdrew owing to the overthrow of the New Deal legislation which vitally affected sugar. ■ {■"■ It is expected she will accept the renewed invitation, but it is emphasised that the international situation is still -the greatest obstacle to the conference.
