Vacancies exist for 50 recruits in the New Zealand Regular Military Forces, other than the Air Force, according to an announcement by, the Defence Department. Recruits must be at least 19 and under 24 on February 1., 1937. They must be single men, oft Bin in height or over, who are physically fit and hold a sixth standard certificate. The advantage of the speed and comfort of air-travel was taken by a Nelson patient for a private hospital in Dunedin yesterday when she engaged toe Marlborough Aero Club’s VVaco cabin aeroplane for her transport to Dunedin. The machine, which was fitted with u stretcher, left Nelson at 10.30 a.m., and after a fairly good trip arrived at the Taieri airport at 4 p.m., when the patient w r as transferred to a St. John ambulance and taken to the city. .
