M ADRID, October 6. Reports have been received of heavy fighting at Oviedo.
Fifteen thousand miners, flinging bombs and dynamite sticks against the rebels, are holding the centre of the town and heights dominating the streets into which they are pouring withering fire from machine-gun nests.
The insurgents claim they repulsed the attack.
The Spanish Government’s naval division has arrived .at Santa-mler, and challenged the rebels to “come out and fight or surrender. Otherwise we will destroy you all.” Reports from Gibraltar say that the rebels are continuing elaborate preparations for an air, land and sea attack on Malaga, which can be expected this week. Sixteen thousand troops have been transported by air and sea from Morocco in the last 10 d■' s. The situation at Malaga is desperate, and food is scarce. ' Fighting continues south and east of Toledo. ' ’•
