OBITUARY
The death occurred at rvi’ding on Friday of the Rev. Father Ha/'erty, parish priest of that town. During the severe influenza epidemic in 1918, Father Ilagerty was stationed at Westport as curate with the late Mon signor Walshe. Only 42 years of age, Father Hagerty keep good health until jus. recently when he contracted meningitis. He came to New Zealand from Ireland with the Rev. Father Phelan, now parish priest at Westport.
