ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET CHRISTCHURCH, May 27. At Addington market to-day, the store sheep entry comprised 1500 lambs, ewes, and 950 wethers. The quality was mostly unattractive. There was only a small percentage of good quality ewes. Tfhere were some nice pens of store lambs. All grades, with the exception of ewe lambs, were weaker. There was a small at- ‘ tendance of. buyers in this section. There was a small offering of fat lambs. The quality was mixed. It was a dull sale. Values were much easier. Extra heavy lambs sold at 28s 4d. prime heavy 25s to 26s 6d, medium 23s to 24s 9d, light 20s to 22s 6d, plain from 17s. There, was a 'slightly smaller yarding of mutton numbering - 4COO .head,, The quality was better, and there was a free sale; Light ewes werq a shade firmer. To-day’s was the smallest yarding of beef for some weeks, being 300 head, as againt 550 lat week. The sale was irregular. The market opened 10s per head better, slipping back to par at stages, and improving again towards the finish. The average values on the whole, showed little change from last week. Best beef sold from ■24 s6d to 27s per hundred pounds, and went occasionally to 28s fid; medium 21s 6d to 245; ordinary 19s to 21s rough from lfis. There was a medium yarding of fat pigs and an oversupply of unfinished porkers. Baconers were firm. There was a sound sale for best porkers. Other grades were easier. Baconers old from 46s 6d to 5s 6d, heavy 88s fid to 68s fid, extra to £3 18s 6d. Porkers sold from 26s to 30s; heavy 345; to 39s fid. .■
