YOUTH LOSES ARM
SHOOTING ACCIDENT
HUNTLY, May 4
Serious injuries to a leg, arm and right side, necessitating tlie amputa-' tion of the arm, were received this afternoon by a youth, Gordon Howard, aged 18, of Huntly, when a shotgun accidentally exploded. He was out duck shooting at the time and the accident was not witnessed. Howard was taken in a St, John ambulance to the Waikato Hospital, where his right arm was amputated this evening. His condition late to-night wa s reported to be serious.
