FOG IN NANTUCKET SOUND
NEW YORK, May 3
The freighter Canadian Planter collided with the British freighter City - of Auckland in'a fog in Nantucket sound early this morning and sank, almost' immediately. Thirty-five of the crew' of the Canadian Planter Avere' safely tkaen aboard the City of Auckland, which ivas not seriously damaged. .
