HAWAIIAN VOLCANO THREAT.

HILO (Hawaii),-November 22
Moving with Unusual speed, two streams of lava from jVlokuaweoweo, the second jargest active volcano in the world, advanced steadily on Hilo. The north-eastern stream at 3 pm. was threatening Hilo, being only twen-ty-live miles from the city, having moved fifteen miles in less than twen-ty-four hours.
The lava, tide, which was washing down tile other slope towards the Kona coast, had tiavelled an equal distance. The coastguard vessel Tiger has been ordered to stand by for an emergency evacuation of the city and villages along the coast of the island of Hawaii, the largest island of the group.
The flames .which are shooting up arc visible for sixty miles. The lava flo» began with'earth tremors and an explosion from Mokuaweoveo’s northern pit.
